Stiliste a Shangai

by Giovanni Pellerito

With their young vintage brand, the two Italian stylists are conquering the Chinese élite.

According to the Chinese tradition, the year 2012 will bring great changes. Thanks to the entrance of the Mighty Dragon, recognized as a sign of good omen, along the silk roads we will breathe an atmosphere of harmony and wellbeing. The ones who will benefit from this alignment of the stars are Anais Isabelle Copini-Castorani and Martina Frappi, respectively creative director and designer of the vintage brand bags named Isabelle Martine. The 10.000 square metres of the Top Marques stand in Shanghai, the most exclusive Top Marques fair in China, walked by the 70% of the flying Chinese class, has celebrated this Made in Italy brand as the youngest and highly researched among the 100 selected stands of the fair. According

to statistic data, 18 thousand billionaires, 880 thousand millionaires and 200 million people belonging to the middle class would really like to spend money in our fashion and luxury market. “The rapid expansion of the Chinese market is leading to an exponential growth in the purchasing power to the wealthy, explains Anais Copini-Castorani, art director of the brand Isabelle Martine. In this atmosphere of prosperity, China represents a real Mecca for the luxury brands and 5 stars goods, especially if they are Made in Italy”. Born in 1986, both have been specializing in Fashion Styling at Istituto Marangoni in Milan. Anais and Martina have always been keen on the manufacturing of leather and they have both worked at the Le Cuir fair in Paris seeking inspiration through the beautiful streets of the Marais district, heart of the 50s vintage. Thanks to the vintage inspiration in Paris the brand Isabelle Martine together with the first collection named “La Parisienne” was born. One of the main features of the collection is the high quality of the materials used and the attention to every detail, unique elements that make every single bag original and recognizable, as the brand Isabelle Martine actually is. “The Chinese luxury addicted are developing a particular attention towards Made in Italy goods as well as a refined taste for details in general – says Martina Frappi, designer of Isabelle Martine and Jenì. The brand Isabelle Martine wants to be of high quality, also because it is Made in Tuscany, a certification that we really want to show on our bags in addition to the “Made in Italy” one. Indeed Isabelle Martine respects the tradition of the ancient Tuscany manufacturers. Each bag is entirely hand made by expert craftsmen known for their excellence in the creativity field. No evident logos on their goods but just a simple and elegant style. Isabelle Martine, the perfect fusion of two souls – the Frappi’s Tuscany one and the Dutch of Copini – has conquered with its elegance the American market of the celebrities and is going to show its appeal on the Chinese elite.
